By populating the enquiry information requested in this Website gives you the opportunity to promote your vehicle for sale to our Network of Local Dealers.
When you sell your vehicle through the Carbye, your vehicle will be purchased by a Local Dealer and not Carbye.co.uk or its owner operator Motor Bye Ltd. This also means that the contract for the sale of your vehicle will be between you and that Local Dealer.
At no point does Carbye market purchase any vehicles itself, nor does it acquire any risk or title to any vehicle made available for purchase via this Website.
When you submit details of a vehicle on our Website, we will provide you with an indicative value for the vehicle. If a price does not appear this can be for a number of reasons determined by the Local Dealer who may have elected to contact you with a price range outside of that provided by the indicative pricing models.
The indicative value is based on the local current market values for vehicles with a similar or identical specification and condition to the one which you have described to us.
After you’ve received an indicative price, you will be advised of the Local Dealers contact information to save so you know it is them contacting you as requested.
The Local Dealer will contact you to arrange an appraisal at a time and place to suit you, preferably within 24 hours of your enquiry. To achieve the best price, it is advisable that you present your car clean and in its best condition. Any and all paperwork, receipts and service history should be made available to the Local Dealer to assist in an early sale with a satisfactory sale price outcome.
If you accept the Local Dealer offer this contract of sale is between you and them. They will complete the correct formal paperwork and proceed the sale with a remittance directly to a bank account of your choosing. If there is outstanding finance, they will clear this for you directly to the lender and remit the balance to you.
Once a sale is agreed and transaction completed this cannot be altered as the Local Dealer will have processed the vehicle from their stock to its eventual next owner. Any terms of service and or cooling off period should be advised by the Local Dealer and accepted by you as final at time of accepting an offer for your vehicle. The sale terms are between you and the Local Dealer, Car Bye Website and its owners have no part or liability in the final transaction.
You are under no obligation to accept a purchase price from the Local Dealer and there are no fees for the use of the Carbye Website. The Local Dealer will, if their offer is under the indicative price, explain why and what deductions they have made to assure you these would be costs that they need to incur to bring the car back to the indicative value.
When you request a car valuation, your details (including certain information we collect about you through your use of the Website in accordance with our Privacy Policy) will be passed to the relevant Local Dealer to make contact with you and bid on your car. You agree that the local Dealer can contact you to arrange a local appraisal of your vehicle and agree a purchase price, should you wish to proceed with the sale.
All communications between you and our Local Dealer are subject to the terms and conditions of that Local Dealer, and we accept no responsibility for any deal, car purchase, payment or disputes that may arise between you and the Local Dealer.
